The owner from estimate to walk-through
I'm the one who comes out, looks at the job and writes your price. Our own crew does the work with me on site running it, so the person who priced your job is the one making sure it's built right.

I learned brick, block and stone under an old-school mason who'd make me tear out any joint that wasn't right and lay it over. After years on his crews, I started E&M Brownsville Concrete and Masonry here in Brownsville in 2023, and I brought that habit with me, because bad work you have to tear out later costs you twice.
Most of our calls are about worn mortar, a cracked wall or a yard project somebody wants done once. We're best known for careful repair and repointing on older brick, which is cleaning out the tired joints and packing in fresh mortar. We also build walls, walks and pavers that are made to last. We're based in Brownsville and work across the Rio Grande Valley cities around it, including San Benito, Harlingen, Los Fresnos and Port Isabel, along with others nearby, and you'll find everything we do on our home page.
We're licensed and fully insured, and these three habits shape every job we take.

If your brick or joints are still sound, I'll tell you so and leave them alone. You pay for what needs work now, not for fixing masonry that's still doing its job.
We match new mortar and materials to the brick and stone already on your house. A mismatched patch can wear down the old masonry around it, so a matched repair protects it instead.
Here's how a job runs with us, start to finish.
Call (956) 505-5518 or reach us through our contact page and tell us what you're seeing. We reply to calls and messages within one business day.
I come out, look it over and give you a written price for the work we talked about, free and with no obligation. The price mostly turns on how much brick, block or stone is involved, how far the damage runs and how easy the spot is to reach.
Before work starts, we check what the city or county office for your property asks for on that job. In Brownsville that's the city's Building Inspections and Permitting Office, and when a permit's needed, we pull it and call for the inspections.
Our crew does the work and cleans up. Then you and I walk it together and look over every joint before we call it finished. Satisfaction guaranteed.
