I come out and look at the wall myself
I'm the one who comes out, looks the wall over and asks what you've been seeing on it. You get a written price for the work we talked about, so you know exactly what's in it.
Tired of a plain or patched wall out front? We check the wall behind first, then set stone that sheds water and holds.

Stone veneer installation in Brownsville, TX puts a layer of stone on the outside of your wall, so your house gets a stone face while the studs, concrete or block behind it keep doing the structural work. Veneer is a facing only, so the wall behind it has to be sound before any stone goes on.
Three things set the price: the wall's size in square feet, the stone and the system it goes up with, and the shape of the wall behind it. An anchored system hangs heavier stone on designed supports and metal ties, usually with a drainage space behind, while an adhered system bonds thin stone to a surface that suits it, so your stone and your wall decide which one fits. If the wall is in poor shape, it gets repaired first, and that's an extra step and an extra cost before any stone goes up.
The schedule turns on that same repair, on what the city or county office wants before we start, and on the heat. One guide specification calls for protecting the work from fast drying above 100°F, before, during and for 72 hours after the stone is set, so on hot days the job isn't done when the last stone goes on. After I see the wall, you get a written price for the work we talked about.
It's a short list, and you'll know who's doing what at every step.

Before a stone goes up, we find out what the city or county office for your property asks for on the job. When a permit's needed, we pull it and call for the inspections.
Our own crew does the work, I'm on site running it, and I walk the finished wall with you. We've been in business since 2023. We're licensed and fully insured.
I look hard at the wall behind before any stone goes up, because stone is only as good as what it's fastened to. If that wall isn't sound, we fix it first. Then we prep the surface for the system that fits, set each stone so water doesn't collect behind it, finish the joints and clean up. Skipping that first look is the shortcut that costs you twice, once for the stone and again to tear it off.
Sometimes the wall you want faced isn't built yet. We put up concrete block walls that can take stone once they're up, and we do foundation block wall installation when the block has to go in before any facing goes on it.
Here's the order the work goes in on site, and why each step comes where it does.
We repair cracked or crumbling spots in the wall before anything else, because covering a problem with stone just hides it until it gets worse.
For an adhered job we get the surface ready for the stone to bond to, and for an anchored job we set the supports and ties first. This is the part that holds the stone, so we don't rush it.
We lay out the stone so the pattern reads natural, then set each piece so water runs out instead of pooling behind it. Joints get tooled clean, the way I was taught, or they come out and get done again.
We keep an eye on the fresh work while it cures, since heat can dry it too fast, as mentioned up top. Then we clean the stone and the site, so you aren't left with mortar smears on a new wall.

(956) 505-5518Installing veneer stone across the US usually costs about $25 to $40 per square foot. That's a national figure for the install, not our price, and any repair the wall behind needs comes on top of it. I'll give you a written price for your wall once I've seen it.
Often it can, as long as the wall is sound and its surface suits the system. One installation guide says adhered manufactured stone belongs on sound walls, not over deteriorating ones or over exterior insulation and finish systems, the foam board with a stucco-like coat. When a wall doesn't pass, the repair goes into the estimate as its own line.
One building scientist ties thin stone failures to the mortar bond breaking down where water collects behind the stone, and walls that take more rain carry more risk. The same writer says a drainage gap of 3/16 inch or more gives the wall some drying. Ask any installer, us included, how they'll keep water from sitting at the back of the stone.
Ask whether they're certified or can show work like yours. One guide specification calls for installers who are a Certified MSV Installer, MSV being manufactured stone veneer, through the Concrete Masonry & Hardscape Association, or who can document experience on projects of similar size and scope. Either one is fair to ask for when you compare bids.
The City of Brownsville processes permits for all remodeling and new construction, and you apply for them online through Accela Citizen Access. If you'd rather ask about your job yourself, the city's permit office is at 1001 E Elizabeth Street and takes calls at 956-546-4357. Either way, we check what the city wants before we start, like I said above.
If your property is on the coast and you're insured for wind and hail through TWIA, Texas insurance law requires the property to be certified for windstorm building code requirements, and the Texas Department of Insurance issues all of those certificates. TWIA's windstorm certification page lists re-siding a significant portion of an exterior wall among the common improvements that need to be certified, so if you carry that coverage, check before a big stone job.
